  1. Community Education and Health


    Water Supply and Sanitation Programs: ZONAL PEC (Community Participation and Education)

    • Duration: 2021-2023

    • Main Objective: Promote community participation and education, improve sanitation, hygiene, and nutrition practices, and ensure the sustainability of water supply sources. Engage communities, schools, health centers, and local authorities in the construction, management, and maintenance of water infrastructure.

    • Client/Funder: UNICEF

    • Target Group: Engaged communities, candidates, LIFECA and non-LIFECA


2. Social Promotion and Human Rights


  1. Community Scorecard Program CPC (Moatize and Tsangano)

    • Main Objective: Support communities in active participation in health service-related issues, contributing to the improvement and systematic development of these services.

    • Target Group:

      • Specific Group: Pregnant women and mothers with young children (0-5 years)

      • General Group: Adult women and men, community leaders, members of the Health Committee and Co-management Committee

      • Providers Group: Health service providers during presentations at Health Units

    • Personnel Involved:

      • Driver: Jorge Paulo

3. Food Security and Nutrition


  1. WFP: Integrated Management of Climate Risks in Cahora Bassa

    • Client/Funder: GREEN FUND and WFP

    • Duration: 5 years (2021-2026)

    • Approximate Budget: 60,000,000.00 MZN until the end of the project

    • Objective: Increase productivity and production by providing technical assistance to small farmers in risk situations and disseminating agricultural technologies through Result Demonstration Fields (CDRs) and demonstration units.

    • Target Group: Small male and female farmers in risk situations, aiming to ensure food security and make producers resilient to climatic phenomena.

    • Project Components:

      • Conservation Agriculture

      • Climate Services

      • Savings and Loans

      • Climate Insurance

      • Watersheds

    Annual Results:

    • Training and Installation: 1500 farmers trained in PICSA; installation of CDRs; distribution of agricultural materials and inputs.

    • Savings and Loans: 1500 farmers mobilized to participate in savings and loan programs.

    • Climate Information: Dissemination of climate information and installation of rain gauges, benefiting 1500 farmers.
